I've had several anxiety attacks and some panic attacks. THEY ARE NOT FUN. I am very thankful that now they are much less frequent (if ever). I have found relief through medication, mindfulness practices, breathing and painting! One night I suddenly started feeling very anxious and so as my studies in Expressive Therapies had taught me, I began painting. As soon as my brush made contact with the canvas I felt calmer. My mind stilled with each brush stroke. I have experienced how creativity can benefit mental health and I am passionate about sharing this with others.

Here is the painting that resulted from my anxiety attack.
